<![CDATA[Does anyone know how to see an usb external hard drive s smart data under macos?]]>so i just bought a new external hard drive, and i wanna see if it s a second hand disck by checking its smart data…...but it s really hard to do that under macos, let s say im not a tech guy.....and many testing softwares only support win system......

and i met such situation last year too, back then i used drivedx (the free trial version), and it worked perfectly.......but its free trail days has been long expired, and i cant find any safe crack  :cry2:....... i mean i just need it to check my new disk s smart......that s all.......so i dont wanna purchase it for just one time smart checking

then i ve heard there s a line tool called smartmontools can do the work.......but i failed finding any detailed guide pages online.......like how to install it and how to write the right command lines.......at least all the posts i could find led to failure eventually......i dont even know if i installed it successfully......cos my terminal kept showing command not found.......and i dont know where went wrong

so plz anyone who knows how to play with smartmontools under macos or does anyone have a safe crack version of drivedx1.8.2 or 1.9.1
