<![CDATA[I upload using correct categories only to find them removed]]>When I upload I take care to apply the correct categories. Then later I often find them removed. The main category, the first one, seems to remain but the additional ones are gone.

I can vote for the additional ones later but that doesn't have an immediate effect. Presumably they only get added if enough people vote for them.

The more votes a category gets, the more likely it is to become visible as a category. The category which receives the most votes after a certain point becomes the primary category.
