Do you like it better than reading?

I myself tried my first erotic book while taking a bus - a challenge to keep the face neutral, but at least the trip wasn't boring :D.
It was Loving Lucas By Lisa Marie Davis torrent
I liked it, even though there were places the intonation was strange to me (narrator and me can imagine the same scene differently, so I guess it is normal). Sex scenes were pretty hot to listen to >:D

Whats your experience with audiobooks? Both erotic and not.

I will definitely continue this experience with audiobooks.

It makes taking the train easier than it was trying to read a book. I get distracted easily so with paper books I lose my pages often.
As for m/m audio I have read quite a few good ones and quite a few terrible ones. The worst by far was a AJ Llewellyn book. It was abridged with no mention of that and the narrator was TERRIBLE! Now the same narrator does a few books on Audible and I am skipping them just because of him. Also a few short audios by one pub are all read by an author that is from England (or possibly Scotland, I forget right now) which is fine except that the 2 books I listened to are USA cowboy stories. That is just frustrating.

I can't imagine reading or listening to an erotic book in a public setting - anyplace where I can't justify a tent in my pants! I imagine one of the greatest benefits of an erotic audio book is that it leaves your hands free to … ;D!

just wondering, because you start the discussion about audiobooks, is there any section for audio books in books & magazine? thanks

Hi,
do you mean torrents or forum?
In torrents audio books are uploaded like any other books under Books & Magazines category adding "AUDIO BOOK" or "AUDIOBOOK" in the title. So just use these words in the search bar and you will find all audio books uploaded (not many, but there are a few).
If you want to upload audio book, just mention that it is audio books and uplaod in Books & Magazines category and use tag - ~audioformat

In forum, you can discuss audio books in main part of this forum - this thread in general or make a topic about a specific audio book.

I am almost finished it. It is pretty good. I like the narrator, just with Rand's voice sometimes it sounded off to me.
Sex scenes sounded hot to me. And there are quite a few of them.
The arguing in the beginning looked a little too long, stretched. It gets better

And again I did that on a trip, this time on a train and even city bus, on the walk home…

It really helps to make the trip interesting and is more comfortable than reading a print book on a train or bus. You can just relax and enjoy while trying to keep your face neutral

I think I might make that a tradition on trips by bus/ train. For that we need more audio books. So keep them coming

I hear a lot of people say they just can't concentrate on it and lose whats going on. It does happen, but I just close my eyes for a minute, concentrate on the book, and when I'm starting to get into it, then I can do whatever.

I listen to them all the time. Some narrators are fantastic. They give each character a voice so you don't really have to know who is saying what through words, you can hear who's voice is speaking.

Its much more difficult to listen to erotic fiction because I don't think the narrators are as good. A couple I've listened to just sounded like someone was reading the book. No inflection in their voice… nothing.

But I will continue to listen to them.
