I think it's all about definitions and what we want on the site.

Lately a movie was posted that had handsome shirtless men, but no gay charactors or plotlines. Another recently added TV series with the same issues. Are these appropriate for this site?

I understand that if something was created by a gay author (ex: Oscar Wilde) or has a gay subplot or characters (although not being specifically gay themed) or even a gay actor in a non-gay role, it would be great to have on the site. I suppose that the centrality of the gay elements would determine if it is "gay content" and/or "of gay interest."

But if something is posted merely because it has a handsome actor shirtless in a scene, or a man in tight pants, is that appropriate? I'm not even sure that it would fall under "gay interest."

Not sure if I expressed myself clearly, but I thought I'd throw the topic out there and see what people think.
