For me the keys are:<br />
1- Do it with someone who you trust/feel a connection with. It's pointless to do it if you don't feel confortable around the other person. I'd say it's better if it's someone your age, especially while being a teen.<br />
2- Try to be as best informed as you can (i.e know about how protection methods work, which ones to use, proper hygiene, the importance of lube and playtime…)<br />
3- Communicate how you feel to the other person, do not keep your fears to yourself<br />
3- Do not rush it, especially if you're dating someone that pressures you to have sex when you still feel scared about it.</p>
