I don't know what happened, but the USENET has become completely infested with malware to the point of being useless.  Even more silly is that almost no malware is effective anymore, so why do they keep propagating it?

For security, I run everything in a virtual machine first –> run malwarebytes, avast, and Panda --> observe until comfortable. Only download from people with skulls next to their names, reading comments is the best defense!
