That song only hit #28?  WTF?  I checked.. and you are correct, but I also looked at what songs were #1 through #27.  In 1986, there were more great songs in one year than in the past 17 years or more (since 2000).

Now to get serious again, and more to the thread's original topic, I read the entirety of the Jezebel interview and was pretty blown away.

It's a dark and nightmarish journey for this woman, who recounts being told her 31-week fetus had turned "unviable" for outside life, and how the trail of anti-abortion radicals' efforts made her journey so much harder and dangerous.  Plenty of medical details not for the squeamish, I assure you.  Thanks, ct, for sharing the link.

If there is a problem with the health of the mother in the 3rd trimester.. have a c-section.  My adopted / purchased sister was a 7 month baby.  6 month babies (second trimester) are viable.

It's also nuts that someone should be sentenced to 14 years in prison for aborting a 6 week fetus the size of a lima bean.

The argument that all abortions should be illegal starts with finding abortions that should be illegal. The line of thought works just like those against any gun laws.

If this is a topic you're interested in, you should read the accounts of midwives from the turn of the last century. It was fairly common for them to kill newborns who were born with all the diseases we now test for or conditions that, today, an infant can survive. Occasionally you'll hear them echoed in stories coming out of third world counties.
