Even if you're not successfully uploading from files you're seeding, you obtain seed bonus points by having them seeded. If you click your seed bonus points in the top right corner of just about every window, you will be automatically directed to the area of the website where these points can be exchanged for a number of things. This includes upload, which will bring your upload up, without the need to donate to the website. Alternatively, you also have the option of uploading a torrent, which should help resolve the issue more quickly.

to be exact: that one and only exchange of SBP happened on Sept. 9th 2010 at 07:34:56 (server time).

But the past is not really important, important is that you increased your seeding time significantly. Please read also Uwe's remark - he is completely correct, especially with his last sentence - for a reason in bold letters

7 and a half hour per day is already a lot and that it isn't helping you enough is a demonstration that one must not count on Seed Bonus Points to gain share ratio. They should be understood a "bonus" or "extra" for trying and keeping torrents alive. Real upload is the only way to efficiently increase the share ratio.

Uploading an own new torrent of something missing here is the best way to generate upload.

Well, they do in this case. It's possible that your calculations were off because I have traded in most of my seed bonus points. But I have been seeding way more than the amount of time you gave me credit for.

As to my signature - you are right, that is a coding trick which shows the name of the name of the user which lokks at my postings - so don't feel intimidated or even scared. I hoped that giving the author of that sentence (from the novel 1984) would make the thing a bit more clear, but it seems to be an age thing that this novel is not known anymore:)

10 weeks: you joined 2010-07-01 that is (roughly 10 weeks and some days - the display at your statistic page leaves out the "some days")

7 days: Your seed bonus balance: please excuse my laziness to round up/down at some places, the results will not change significantly if I try to calculate the exact results

• 50 SBP for picture uploads  remain 90 SBP for seeding time

0.5 SBP per hour 90 SBP divided by 0.5 SBP / hr ~ 180 hours as a day still has 24 hrs (180 hrs / 24 hrs per day) ~ 7.5 days that is the complete calculation.

I can do it also with the not rounded figures - the result is 7.46875 days ~ 7 days 11 hours

Btw: I remember the resulting figure when I did my first calculation was 7.06… days ~ 7 days (BTW: congrats to raising your seeding time by 11 hours for a couple of days )

i don't know where you got 7 days out of 10 weeks. i'm sure i have been seeding much more than that.

1 advice ....
if the videos you like doesn't have leechers, Don't download them when you don't have a buffer to play with!
there are always new files that have 1 seed XXX leech for you to up your ratio with.
control your urge to download the files you like and go for the files you need... aka those files that have leechers for you to up your ratio

just look at me ... i don't have any upload, but I'm very safe from the minimum req, and I'm even able to download my fav vids.

the only way i see a way  to help you atm, is to download the file you're seeding and pray your client connects to mine before others do.
(relying on prayers isn't very efficient or effective)

oh and 1 more thing ….. your seeding files should never go on queue, they will not be registered and if you don't have a file seeding, you will not clock  your seed bonus

And, btw, you know about exchanging seed bonus points - you can get them too after you upload an own new torrent to our tracker. That is why we always recommend to upload a new torrent as an easy solution to increase your ratio - even more important since other members can give you SBPs as a thank you. Without an upload there is no way to gain SBPs for uploads/thank yous or in our moderator's inventions: bonus games or bonus programs

Hmmm - I did NOT write what I think, did I? Just a feature request for our site deserves a decent answer.

I'd be happy to donate if there were a way to do it anonymously. But I don't need a charge from gaytor.rent popping up on my credit card service.  

There is no hint about GayTorrent.ru on your credit card at all. Please have a look at this thread where more questions about our donations are answered.

To the OP's idea of resetting an account's ratio: If a new member really would read the Rules/FAQ and the important information section in our forum (which he promised to do when signing in btw) he must know about our most important aim of sharing what he gets for free.  I don't know how many accounts got seeding help (prolonging their grace period after a low-ratio warning) and how many said at least a thank you (not to speak how many really started to share from that time onwards).  After my experience such a solution would only prolong the problem until his "allowed resets" are over and the same situation would arise. I admit - I'm also human and sometimes feel disappointed and discouraged by the "thoughtlessness" of greedy users who just want to get, get, get and don't bother to give at least a bit back. (And I think I can say the same for most of our staff members too).

But no - just have a look at our home page where we list the banned accounts which were banned because of ratio cheating and those who were caught creating duplicate accounts to cheat on our ratio rules an do such a "reset" for themselves. Does someone really expect that such a behaviour encourages us to implement a reset-ratio request? (Which as I said before, would not really solve the problem of greediness at all).

Staff members can grant once another low ratio warning period with download rights, a kind or "Reset", but it is a poisoned gift. The statistics stay and downloads decrease it further, only future uploads will re-up it.

Then we have the seed bonus, the picture bonus and uploading an own new torrent is always possible.

Lastly, you can call yourself to delete your account and start over 60 days later (the 1st of a month following unless you get invited) again with a new account. The ultimate "Reset": self banning >:D
