I've never tried it and really don't have much interest in ever trying it.  Don't really see the reason.  How an ass feels, and tastes is much more important to me than how dark/light it is.

The major reason to bleach is that the anus area gets darker from abrasive fucking because one keeps the arse cheeks close together and they get plenty of external rubbing while the cock slides in and out. Some tops will be wondering how many men had fucked you before if he sees a darker anus. If it's fair and pink will look virginal but dark will look….eeerrrmm.... well used 

It forms a very conspicuous patch on a fair, meaty butt highlighting the slit where the anus is hidden.

I don't do bleaching but I do add lots of lightening cream there to keep it supple and light especially after a nasty pounding by a rough top. I like it rough  ;D Being a seasoned bottom, the cream does not sting as much.

You may not mind but I find most tops do inspect that area closely as part of foreplay for obvious reasons. They'll rim a nice pink hole but will probably pass on a darker one.

But to those who think it's odd, imagine the nitial whitening toothpaste and whitening kits were a few decades ago. Now it accounts for a huge market share of dental hygiene products. In addition, the peroxide and its derivatives contained in such products carry health ramifications as well. Gums are quite absorbent when being scratched by 1000's of nylon bristles.

And yes I know most everyone sees my teeth at work while no one sees my anus--as of yet..lol

The cream I use is specific to its purpose. I says "anal whitening cream". It's similar to skin whitening cream that is ever so popular in Brazil, but contains no sun-block, as not many buttholes get exposed to too much direct sunlight. It does contain a derivative of hydroquinone.

I'm super white to begin with, so one application every couple weeks is often enough. Because of the limited usage, I'm not worried about the long term carcinogenic effects. It's the women and men who use similar creams religiously to lighten their naturally tanned bodies.

In the end, I think a pale pink anus looks more appealing, youthful, and ultimately more inviting then its darker rivals.

Prolonged exposure to either can cause cancer, mercury poisoning, liver or kidney failure.

Anal bleaching can also cause chemical burns to an already sensitive area.

There are bleaching products, such as azelaic acid, that are less toxic but still serve to reduce melanin production and increase possible long term skin complications."

After a bit more searching, it seems there are over the counter, retail bleaching creams you can buy.

By the way, never done before 

I do find it a bit funny, and ironic, though.  Most people tan because they want their skin tone to be a bit darker.  But the one part of the body that already has a darker pigmentation, is the part that people want to lighten.
