I have a question for techies and coders. Is there a way for the site to capture mac addresses?
if there is, will it be better for users that have to operate under proxy addresses?
(I'm under the impression that mac addresses are unique to each computer)

if it is possible, what kind of problems can you foresee as opposed to using the ip address as identity?

as far as i can tell mac addresses from your Network card are not transmitted publically and can not
recovered from pure network traffic ( torrenting that is )

It would require a lot of technical resources ( if any ) to get that from your computer.

But in a LAN environment ( your local network , router etc ) you can get the mac address ( arp )
