This is no longer about political parties. This is about the sovereignty of our entire nation. The fact that you people are completely complacent about the countless allegations against Trump - which, regardless of whether or not they turn out to be true, are inherently extremely serious and should not be treated like a joke - is proof of where your values truly are. Instead of obstructing justice, like the whole of the right wing has been doing for ages now, you should be working WITH authorities to make the investigations go as smoothly and as quickly as possible. If they turn out to be not true, then great, good for you. But if you're so sure about his innocence, why are you so scared of letting the investigations continue unhindered? For that matter, why is HE so scared of letting the investigations go on?

Nixon resigned before he was sure to face impeachment stemming from obstruction charges on Watergate. Bill Clinton was impeached for his alleged obstruction of penis activity concerning Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky. He was, subsequently, acquitted of the major charges by the Senate in February 1999.

And now we have Trump, whose actions and directives are truly raising an already high bar on presidential obstruction. Comey, and other high-ranking officials, are good and ready to testify about Trump's multiple requests that they go lightly on his administration's many sketchy, and quite-likely illicit, ties to Russian officials, bankers and old-fashioned spies, both pre- and post-election:

I agree with you, Dene, it's disappointing when someone complains that liberals don't respond, and then you DO respond, and you either get nothing, or just someone screaming eight words at you in ALL CAPS, or banging on about Hillary when the topic is in no way related.

On the preceding page of this thread, I took a half-hour – time I could have spent with porn!!! -- to offer an assessment on why Trump is heading for both obstruction charges and eventual impeachment. It's the middle of the night here in the U.S., but I wonder if any of our conservative friends would spare some time tomorrow to actually address the points I raised, without grinding their teeth on some old, discredited talking points.
