How you guys find your partner?
-
Met my official first boyfriend in college.
Met a long time friend with benefits on planet Romeo.
Met a guy who I think loves me but I don't want to settle down on Grindr.

The only relationships that work are when you're hot and have some sex to offer. If you're not sexy, guess what? No sex for you unless they're drunk, and definitely not continuous unless you subscribe to old-fashioned rules. Go to Miami, everyone is sex sex sex only once.
You cannot be on the sex apps - that supposedly help you find your partner - Grindr, Scruff, etc. And neither can he. Otherwise, just forget it. It WILL NOT WORK.
Your're writing the 'will not work' out of personal experience? I was philosophizing about that with a friend today.

Bear411 :surprise: it was SUPPOSED to be a 1-night-stand - that was almost 9 years ago.

I have found my actual partner in a website

Hooked up on PlanetRomeo but met in a park at night for sex. A week or so later I noticed him at my university. One thing led to another.

The world has changed a lot, I'm 46, I used to meet my partners, including my ex-husband with whom I spent 15 years, going to clubs. I've never met a partner using facebook, but I've met using orkut (r.i.p.), after that I've met t apps, Tinder and Growlr, and they have lasted long enough 3 years, 1 year and a half, 3 months, 3 months, so it's not that bad. BTW, I'm very average looking, so maybe the fault is not with the apps, how high are your expectations? If you are looking for someone who looks like your favorite porn star and have the same kind of sex you enjoy masturbating to, and at the same time cuddle and go to the movies together, it may be very difficult to find.
huh….. i guess this answers my life problems LOL

Well, the dynamic of finding a partner has changed thanks to globalization. I've been reading some of your posts, and each one ratify my point of view. Nowadays, people prefer to use social networks to hook up or to meet new friends or to find someone that you could spend the rest of your life with.
In my case, I found my current boyfriend on Facebook (I am clear that I'm not doing any kind of advertisement). If you use those hook-up apps like Grindr, Hunter and stuff, you're wasting your time (you know, easy come easy go). What you could just do is try to be yourself, and use real apps with real accounts. Your partner is gonna appreciate you for who you are.

Grindr. Seriously. Even the most inane of apps can yield the hottest of guys.
