But I still walk around with my shoes on. As long as it was not yet or dirty, I do not care. It would bother me a lot if someone wears shoes on my bed though.  :blind:

I think it's weird to be walking around wearing shoes in my own house for sure but I'd never ask someone to take off their shoes unless they want to make themselves more comfortable.

In Poland everybody HAS to take their shoes off in the corridor. It's just a total must. There are some houses though (like for single-families) that are big with mostly 2 floors, a dog, wooden floor and stuff that people just tell you "don't take your shoes off" and it's okay if the resident allows you. But yeah for me it's obligatory and I always pay attention to that, my guests are always aware of that but yeah I sometimes proclaimed some of my moms guest to just go back to the corridor and take that off.

In Sweden, we all take our shoes off when entering someone's home. I can't even fathom the idea of walking around indoors with my dirty shoes, that most likely have traces of pet feces and other unpleasant stuff. I shiver at the mere thought of it.
