It might replace the DS/3DS line… Nintendo have been pretty vague about that at the moment, I think they're waiting to see if the Switch sells well before they decide (kind of like the way the DS replaced the Game Boy Advance years ago). If Switch sells poorly, I think there will be a 3DS successor.
Lots of games have been announced! Granted, many of them are out on other consoles already (pretty normal for a new console), but there are still some interesting exclusives coming out this year.
Snipperclips is out at (or close to) launch, and looks really special:

I'm so turned off with Nintendo since the Wii U. They messed up so many things with that console. I'll be skipping this one. It's time they make Mario available on other platforms.

I do belive the switch CAN be a huhe success but just if it is able to show that is a really amazing device. It needs a lot of third parties support, but it only be possible if their games runs at at least 1080p, and we have not seen anything like that this far. The console launching is three weeks away and many things can happen.

I pre-ordered one! I'm a huge Nintendo fan, but got a bit disapointed at the Nintendo Wii U. But I would like to play the new Zelda. So I pre-ordered one.

I got a pre-order on Amazon right now just as a just incase but likely cancelling i'm not wanting to shell out $400 for Zelda and Bomberman on day 1 when i can wait for the holidays and have alot of other games too especially Mario , Splatoon and Mario Kart.

Yeah, they really messed up a lot of things, for example the The Legend of Zelda game they promised and is going to be released on the Switch first. I'm really unsure if I will be the new console. I'll have to wait to see the reactions and more details after its release to make a decision.

Nah, it's coming out on Switch and Wii U at the same time. I get why they'd be bringing it to Switch, though - I don't think anything was going to turn around Wii U sales, but with Switch they've got a clean slate, better marketing and better tech. Having Zelda as a launch title will help them a lot.
I've pre-ordered mine - along with Zelda and 1-2-Switch. I'll be getting Snipperclips if it's available at launch, too, I can't wait to try that one!

The story seems to be different. He bought it from someone who bought it from someone else who had stolen some units at his work. The guy who showed us the Nintendo Switch got contacted by Nintendo. He needed to return the Nintendo Switch, otherwise he would be sued. He couldn't handover a receipt from the Switch. So he lost his money and his Nintendo Switch.

Not sure if anyone's been following this since I last posted, but the console's doing quite well. Consistently sold out in the US and Japan for nearly three months now.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got great reviews and there are some really interesting indie titles on the console (I've got my eye on Kamiko). Of course, there probably won't be a lot of new announcements before E3 next month, but Reggie Fils-Aime (head of Nintendo America) hinted at some sort of Metroid announcement, so that might be on the cards!

I bought a Switch at launch and love it, but so far Mario Kart 8 and Zelda have been the only games worth getting so far. I wish they released more at launch

I bought the Switch a couple of weeks ago, after scouring the earth to find a store that hadn't outsold them.
I really like it, it's incredibly user-friendly. It's fast, it's easy, it just has Breath of the Wild going for it, which means that I'm finally forced to finish the game before jumping into my next adventure.
But it's not exactly perfect… I think that with most consoles, jumping in early leaves you open to some technical troubles. The buttons on my joy-con, for instance, have already displayed some technical problems. I'm no button-masher, but still they've quickly started to show signs of struggle after playing Breath of the Wild. So I had to bring my joy-cons back.
It's one of those things that happens a lot when there is a new product on the market. In hindsight, I'm still happy as a peach, but I think I should have waited perhaps a couple of more months for a new batch.

That kind of manufacturing defects happen with every product launch tho.
It's not just console but technology in general.
I've always been more of a portable gamer so the switch has been amazing.
