<p dir="auto">So for one file in a torrent you point uTorrent to that file.</p>
<p dir="auto">If the torrent was made from a folder than you would need to have a folder for uTorrent to check.</p>
<p dir="auto">In short, it doesn't matter where the files are as long as uTorrent can check them.</p>

<p dir="auto">If I made a torrent by adding files from a directory, can I remove the files from the directory into another location and redirect the torrent to look for the files at the new location?</p>

Otherwise, you will need to point uTorrent to where the torrent's contents are located on your computer.</p>

It doesn't matter if the torrent file is in the folder, uTorrent will ignore it.</p>
<p dir="auto">Are you sure you are pointing uTorrent at <strong>exactly</strong> the file or folder that the torrent file was made from? What status does uTorrent show for that torrent?</p>
