It's been a few years now since the pop culture of 'memes' had arrived and I have bitten my tongue for a while. But now I just have to understand what memes actually are. I see meme pages and meme edits, but I still have no clue as to what it is.

But Dawkins knew nothing about the transmission of information in human cultures.

For the past 20+ years, "meme" more or less means any copycat trend on the internet.
