The problem was said to happen if you use a proxy. I don't I use the https:// link

It suggests that I upgrade my torrent client, which I don't want to do.

My first reaction is to see if I can find the torrent elsewhere.

Otherwise there is this workaround. Personally I do steps in order 3, 4, 1, 2 - it took me a couple of times to get it right.
