<p dir="auto">But this is more to do with the ability to have children in the first place. For gays, its difficult and time consuming, so you have to be very committed to the idea to start with. This means those that do succeed in becoming parents, tend to be more prepared, better educated and, on average, have a higher income. In comparison, it is so easy for straights to have children, they can have kids by accident.</p>
<p dir="auto">This means the studies are skewed because they are not comparing like with like. If I had one, I'd take child care seriously, I'm not sure I'd be a good parent in the long term. And I'm sure you can think of a few poofters who would make terrible parents if they had the responsibility foisted on them in the way straights do.</p>
