When a member is promoted the first time to Power User, he gets 4 free invites.

Those invites are only useful when the site requires Bitcoin or invitations to signup, i.e. isn't open signup. When the site is open signup, referrer link invitations are usually working, too.

You can also get invites to share when you become a Power User
