Personally I have only made out with a girl (funny thing: it was years after I have realized I'm more into guys than into girls, I literally made out with her cause we were both bored, I didn't do it to convince myself I was str8 or anything). I liked it but I didn't feel any particular sexual attraction or desire AKA I didn't want to fuck her (and never thought having actual sex with a girl). The kissing/making out is a more casual playful thing for me, especially if you are a little tipsy
