<p dir="auto">Not in terms of lifting or muscle bulk but I think it would fuck up your cardiovascular health. Fucks up your arteries in the long term as well. I'm sure if you're just a casual smoker it shouldn't be too bad.</p>

Assuming you're young, your lung function will hold up initially, then slowly but surely decline with time. In turn, your performance will suffer for it. Speak to your doctor about quitting. There are many products, such as gum and patches which you can use. However, medications are only one aspect. Mindset is important too. You'd need the support from quitting helplines or counselors to help also. It's no different than having a gym trainer or training partners help push you to perform better than you would otherwise.
