If I remember right there was an attempt to study this in San Francisco some years back, and they followed quite a few slutty gay guys that sucked off over a hundred guys in a year. None ever contracted AIDS even when sucking off people that were positive repeatedly, so they basically scrapped the study as they had no infections to start tracking.

So there's almost zero risk. If you have some sores in your mouth it'd probably be easier, so it is of course best to avoid those with STDs, but the rates are so low it's almost insignificant.

Most people would say there's little or no risk of getting HIV (other things are a different matter). You'll always find someone who swears he got infected just from sucking dick, so you have to decide for yourself. For me, I would never suck rubber. I've also sucked a fair number of random dicks and never seroconverted.
