When I was a young, I noticed that I would get an erection when I looked or thought about certain things. One of them was older men (40+) in suits or uniforms. At that time, I did not even understand the correlation between an erection and sex. This started before I entered puberty. I was never abused as a kid, and my father was not a businessman or policeman
Once I entered puberty I went from elementary to middle school, where at least half of my teachers were no longer female. I tried to fantasize about girls, and my first masturbation experience was while thinking about one, but I was far more interested in my male instructors. They were average, middle-aged guys who wore slacks, a dress shirt, and sometime a tie. The ones I were most attracted to were slightly chubby, furry, and with dark or gray hair. I was not attracted to my classmates (male or female) whatsoever.
I tended to have friends much older than me. When I was in high school my friends were in college; when I was in college my friends were graduate students. I always liked being around older people. That has not changed for the most part.
I prefer men older than 50, and my attraction has no real upper limit. When I lost my virginity it was to a man about 55 years old; the two oldest man I have been with were in their early-to-mid 70s (I am in my late thirties, presently). The concept of seeking a "sugar daddy" is completely alien and insulting to me.

Like I'm 25, all young gay guys hate the fact I smoke cigarettes, smoke weed and drink.
Yet all the older gay or bi guys I've been friends with, actually like that because back then drinking and smoking were normal and accepted. it's quite the opposite now.
I like how older guys find my womanly attitude nice. Because I am black and yes i have an attitude and I'm proud to admit it. It's the way god made me.
They are also more conservative too. Less politically correct.

I had boyfriends who smoked weed every night, get wasted on many stuff I wont say, me included. I mean not very long ago ( 5 years?) you could smoke in gay bars and clubs over here so you know… -
They have experience. They know what they want out of life. They are assertive, decisive, responsible. I can feel like I don't need to take responsibility for anything in our 'relationship'. They are also usually quick to pay for stuff as well, even though I don't need them to as I am making a good living as a civil engineer. But the gesture speaks volumes for me.
My greatest passion is a man 17 years older than me. I've told him many times that I've wanted something more but he has always shot me down. He's kind of a loner. All he wants us to be is casual friends with benefits. Who knows? Maybe that's why I am so drawn to him…
