I am not worried for my safety here in the US.  I do worry that since they get in the news while the other 99.997% of Muslims do not people will think the whole faith is out to destroy the world.  I worry for the families, friends, and loved ones of their victims, but again as for me not worried about my safety from them.

Israel Secret Intelligence Service at it again and I am out of the loop.

          @landerkay:

          What your thoughts

! No disrespect is meant by my thoughts, in fact I think the whole ISIS as US/Israel proxy army is worse than a stretch, it's ridiculous.  Unless it isn't and our paradigm is really ready for a spoiling.

Im not worried about Daesh , what i am worried about is the legitimacy given to them constantly by calling this mob of whack jobs who kill more muslims then "others" is the constant use of the words Isis and Islamic State ,
Isis is the egyptian goddess of peace medicine and life , it should be kept that way
Islamic State , well , they are neither , Daesh is used in all bar the US now and the word is a better use since D'aesh  دعس, in Arabic means felon crush them under your feet.

If I were in Europe with that unabated, uncontrolled influx of refugees, yes, I would be concerned. Not just because of terrorism but because a lot of European countries have shown that they can't integrate immigrant communities. In the US, however, I'm more concerned about white  Christian men with guns than jihadi terrorists - so far they've done much worse to this country.

Personally if i was a US citizen i would be far more concerned with white supremacist terrorism
of course right wing slanted media calls them ..lone wolves or deranged , why not call them what they are?   white christian terrorists anyone who has actually read the bible properly , and i mean really read the bible ,will know that it is far more violent than the Quran.
violence is violence , that i wont deny , but one is written defensively , the other offensively , and the Bible is the latter.

the facts are plain and simple ..terror on US soil by muslims from 1970 to 2012 compiled by START a global terror watch data base .2,400 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil only 60 were Islamic related. Most of the terrorist activity in the U.S. in recent years has come not from Muslims at all , but from radical Christians, white supremacists and far-right militia groups.

Concerned? Yes but only for the safety of innocent people that have been harmed because of their actions and from the retaliation of the authorities. My country is not untouched from them but we have a far going history in dealing with terrorists and that has brought the people together mostly regardless of religion, caste, race or creed.

Well I'm maybe not concerned but pissed off about all the terrorist issues. I was to have a wonderful new year's eve and week off work in Greece and we didn't go because of the attack in Paris. Greece is dangerous too now, especially the islands, so that would be risky. Fuck terrorists actually.

Somewhat. I don't consider them as Muslim. As far as I know, they want to, like, Islamize countries, by eradicate those who are not Muslim, right? They kill people in the name of their God. Well, that's not what Islam is all about. There is no teaching in any religion which promote violent let alone massacre. No, they misuunderstood the said religion.

I'm worried because they threaten the global peace. I heard that third world war is imminent and this is one of the causes.

What "lone wolf" or white supremacist incidents? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Dylan Roof. I've never heard of any militia group engaging in any sort of attack, or really any white supremacist group supporting anything like that even. If you mean things like school shootings, that's almost been routine for the longest time in predominately black areas, which is part of why so many started using metal detectors.

But really, the fear with ISIS is that they'd increase the number of incidents we already see. Especially when there's so many Muslims that seem to condone their actions, there recently was a survey of American Muslims that seemed to show nearly 20% being sympathetic to ISIS.

There's also this site which seems to come up with tons of these numbers:
                            http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/opinion-polls.htm

_The Polling Company CSP Poll (2015): 19% of Muslim-Americans say that violence is justified in order to make Sharia the law in the United States (66% disagree).

The Polling Company CSP Poll (2015): 25% of Muslim-Americans say that violence against Americans in the United States is justified as part of the "global Jihad (64% disagree).

The Sun (2015: Following Nov. 2015 attacks in Paris, 1 in 4 young Muslims in Britain (and 1 in 5 overall) said they sympathize with those who fight for ISIS.

Also the thing about the bible versus Koran is that most Christians just interpret the bible versus taking it all literally. There's also the whole deal with the new testament for instance which is that you weren't supposed to be going off of all those old testament rules that were really harsh and genuinely tasty much of the time. That was the whole lesson of Jesus really that you basically had to chill on the bullshit. Being an atheist myself I know it's tempting to take things out of context with the bible to complain about it, especially since there's plenty of people that want to use it to legitimize their bigotries, but it is an entirely different animal from what goes on with Islam. But really it's all a bit irrelevant what the books themselves say if the people practicing the religion based around it are behaving entirely differently from the way the books suggest they should.

I saw video the other day that actually has an ex-Muslim woman breaking down some of the reasons to criticize Islam and the Koran: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKkckaZO4fw

Valuable information regarding a faith based system of belief?  No thanks.
Or is it valuable information on how we can start taxing all of the hate groups, fear mongers & self-immolating grand pubahs religions?  Then I'll take the time to watch.

ISIS know more about Islam than we do. On the other hand, you can't compare Christianity with radical Islam. Christianity allowed and in the end encouraged some enlightenment, Islam regresses further and further. No one will kill you just because you aren't a Christian (or Buddhist, Hindu, Bahai for that matter)

                                            ALL dogmatic religions are bad.

In the US, most terrorism is committed by christians.  We used to be able to say the same thing in the EU, until about a decade ago.
