Annoying automatic nudge. Is there a way I can stop this by registering somewhere, somehow, as being located in Greenwich -6?

I think you are right, the only setting I could see was one to offset the board time so that your local time showed. Nothing to actually input a time and date.

Now someone will come along and show we are wrong

Change in the FORUM Profile (in the top grey menu band when you are in the forum) your time zone setting and as cannonmc said …
