Still, even now they have underwear models in online catalogues…not to mention kinkier intimate wear that they weren't able to put out in a free mailer all those years ago.

I'd guess it mostly depends on the age and internet availability of people who answer. I can't imagine most these days would have the same experience, but maybe a comparable one with different formats.
