  • Listen to music on my pre-charged portable soundbar
  • Try to ignore the demonic noises coming from the broom closet
  • Browse the internet on my phone
  • Text/Skype/Snapchat my friends to see if Slenderman has taken them yet
  • Watch TV Shows/Movies on my iPad
  • Spend some time in the bathroom mirror with a flashlight checking out those weird scratches that just appeared on my neck and stomach
  • EAT ALL THE ICE CREAM before it melts
  • Inspect my vintage typewriter to see why it's magically typing "GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT…" at me.
  • Fashion together a cross out of spare dildos
  • Read a magazine by candlelight
  • Sit my phone on a tripod and film myself opening the broom closet so someone will find the footage after I'm dead and make an insufferable movie franchise out of it.

If not pull out a candle, and read some of my books. I use to hang out with friends and at their house, they had tons of board games and things like cards. So we usually play cards when the power goes out. Or just talk, you know, about random shit.

Make of that what you will. Seriously though, when the power was out for a week here, I listened to a lot of tapes on a shoebox recorder and doodled. When I got really bored, I turned on a battery-powered radio to listen to local news and call-in shows.

    I also went for walks and enjoyed the strangeness of my normally electrified surroundings, though it was pretty eerie to do so at night.

It was almost dark when we started, and turns out the whole city was suffering a blackout. We went downtown and even the restaurants were dark, but you could hear many people inside, still talking, laughing and some even cheering. It was quite an experience and I got a lot of exercise XD
