Spend an entire weekend together, then progress to spending a week maybe two. Do everyday things (besides screwing) like grocery shopping, bill paying etc. If at the end you can't wait to get back to him, that could be a strong sign living together could work. However, if you can't wait to get away from him, maybe it won't work.</p>

For me it was five years (lol) and we didn't even date during that time nor live in the same area. But once we both realized what we wanted it was under two months before he has moved across country to live with me and a year before we married.</p>
