Please stop the flood

The simplest way to solve this would be to simply exempt the "Jokes" board from the SBP 'Bonus' and to make it not show up in anyone's recent posts list. Then anyone who decided to "Flood" another forum for SBP simply gets banned from earning SBP period. I like the Jokes… but I agree it becomes quite the pain when someone posts 200 to 300 topics in an hour just for SBP.

I would suggest making a time limit between posts. Some forums will allow you to post only once in a two minute time frame. Most of the joke post are posted under a minute a part. But yes, if don't pay SBP for the jokes board that would also stop it, but then for the same reason why pay it for the game board and how many other boards can the same thing be said about. But the idea of the SBP is to encourage people to post in the forums.

I thought the spammers had gone away.
20 pages of spam in one day by one poster is completely unacceptable. Completely screws the Recent Posts for the rest of us.
Are there no 'joke sites' that they can go and pester?

I honestly and truly do miss "Paste what you copied last" it was usually a fun little something something.

My beef is not with the jokes, per se but with the flood of them in a short space of time which completely distorts the Recent Post listing.
I would consider kissing whatever you are inviting me to but navy blue on a black background is not easy to read.
Seems someone is in need for glasses or optical surgey… It's completely legible... ::)

I'm baffled about aspects of this dialogue, addressing long-ago issues and original posts quoted from 2015.
After looking back, it appears that years ago, a small number of members bombarded the Jokes section with five, 10 jokes a day, hence the origin of this complaint thread.
There's hasn't been a "joke flood" in quite some time, and if a member felt one developed in the future, it's probably much more useful to ask help from an Admin or Moderator.
I do see a point made in this thread which holds true today – it's not a good idea to flood the Jokes section (or ANY section) with dozens of emoji-only responses or trite, three-word observations.
With that said, a priest, a rabbi and a minister are standing at the Pearly Gates... :crazy2:
