Has anyone played Coming Out on Top
-
The boys are pretty hot and all of them have chest hairs

I think if in the next version of game, there would not be much conversations and it would be full of sexy situations :hug2: -
I dated the Asian character and then he just sort of left at the end of the game. I think I did something wrong.
-
I loved it! I didn't buy it to jack off to it, I was more interested in the story. (No, i'm serious!) I found the story fun, and the characters were good. It's not like there's a lot of gay options when it comes to dating sims, so it was nice to virtually seduce a man without the female pronouns.
But if you want it for wanking, you might not want it. It's not bad, I just don't think it was particularly hot. -

I just extract the CGs

I liked the illustrations of the sex scenes, only the balls looked weird occassionally? I liked that the game didn't exaggerate, that it remained plausible.
It's definitely one of my favorite games from last year, and there's even some more content to come! My favorite visual novel definitely! Ian is the only one for me. :cheesy2: -
I have attempted to make this spoiler-free with the exception of names. I still warn of mild spoilers.
I have played it and loved it! Ian and Brad's routes are hot and sweet at all the right times. The other 3 left a lot to be desired in my opinion. It's great, the version downloadable from here lets you toggle chest hair, facial hair and condoms (which I personally love, because facial and body hair work for some, but not others, and it's nice to show safer sex, but I prefer to see BB).
Unlike other commenters, I'm happy it's more realistic. Some porn illustrations have the guys' dicks bigger than their torsos. Not that I don't think bigger is better, but at that point it's more comedy and cartoony than date-y or porny.
My only complaint is that there's such an expansive gallery. This wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't such a completionist and felt like I couldn't stop until I had the full gallery. Actually, after a month I'm still playing, because I can't get a certain jungle scene or fishy scene… And I had to take Jed's route twice because there's two different routes you can take... I hated Jed. -
love the style, thinking about buying

I was waiting for this game for about a year before it's release. (It was created by a straight female, oddly enough.) I was so impatient and couldn't wait to have it. I purchased it legitly the day it came out.
The game was a bit of a disappointment for me. I'm not sure why. I played to the end of two character's storylines, then simply got bored.

Lol. I eventually cheated and found a walkthrough online. Actually, it took me a while to get far into any of the storylines, because I kept trying to sleep with multiple people at once.

Hint for the jungle scene: He will only take you as a friend. Don't date him. And save your money. -
Definitely a fine dating sim. Lots of juicy bits and nice interactions. I only played one route but will get to the others hopefully soon. I really suggest playing it. Don't wanna spoil too much.
And it's well done, from the art to the rewind mechanic. I thoroughly enjoyed myself with it!
I did a Let's Play of it in my Youtube channel (just click this link for the playlist)

I have played it too and I really like it.
Extra points for being in English, no more obscure translation patches. The replay option is kinda nice too as you can backtrack if you messed up (though dunno…kinda takes the challenge away...)
The character designs are really nice, though I would have loved that the same artist who did the ingame sprites also had done the CG's. (Facial and body hair are just...Yum!)
Kinda miss the 'Harem Ending' some asian dating sims have (Hunks Workshop, anyone?) but the stories are nice and the dialogues really get to you, so you are really immersed in each path.
Overall is a real good dating sim, I totally recommend it.

The character design is really bad and the text made me cringe more than the average otome game…

LOVE IT… got a save for each person and their alternate scene saved separately in case I wanna
.... though my favorite is the Army guy one... where their on the couch :missio: -
OMG YESSSS!!! Though personally I love Ian's little surprise at the end XD sort of suspected it from the box of dildos though XD :missio:
-
So far the game isn't opening on my mac. :cry2: super pumped to try it

Bought and really enjoyed this game. Hoping there will be more like it!

I love the Brad and Ian arcs. Alex will do nicely, too.

Does anyone know how to update it? I downloaded it from here.

It's simply one of my favorite visual novels I've played. It's grounded, witty and realistic since it revolves around college life, much like me, somewhat, so I can relate to him. It's also nice that we can name the main character as well. The love interests are hot too, Brad, Phil and Amos are my favorites. Only, it's kinda too bad Phil's CG art looks different than his game art. His game sprite is more handsome

Kinda shame Phil's story, for me, is the shortest one and somewhat lacking any chemistry between him and our character since most events happened in his route always involve two bullies and a spoiled brat, there's not enough moment just for the two of them.
It also has a psychological thriller touch to it too, in the secret love interest route. Kinda twisted and unusual, and recently, I just found out that there is one straight guy among the bonus date guys. Sadly, he's one of the hottest :cheesy2:

Because the game-maker gives it to you via email at each update, you kinda have to redownload the entire thing from here…
