Powerful vocals, ethereal lyrics & a dark, almost macabre feel. Lungs is a great album.
But what they did with Candi Staton's "you've got the love" was inspired - I loved the track before this reworking. They took a 1990's classic, put it through the wringer & reinvented it as an icon of the new century.

Florence and the Machine is absolutely one of my favorite bands. They're one of those bands that I obsessively track down every song they do, and every song Florence herself does. I have every version of every album, every single, tons of live performances, and damned near every B-Side.

You could say I'm obsessed.
