I personally think Harry Potter is not good as The Lord of the Rings

Some movies were actually pretty good.
The first one was a children's movie.
The second one was chilling. It can actually go toe to toe with Conjuring and Insidious in atmosphere.
The third one and the fourth one were boring.
The fifth was entertaining.
The sixth one suffered way to many alterations and cuts from it's book material.
The two last ones were good, especially the last one.

I agree, the movies cut a ton from the book. And sadly the actor who played Dumbledore in the first two movies passed. The new actor for Dumbledore seemed really aggressive to me. Surprisingly I thought the 5th book was boring but the movie did a good job in making it entertaining…

As someone else had mentioned, I find it much easier to go through all the HP movies compared to TLOTR. (I had to rewatch TLOTR MULTIPLE times before I understood what the hell was going on)  ;D

... but for HP, my favorite is The Order of Pheonix.

Really? The third and the fifth are the best HP movies to me Oo. And the 7th movie is so boring.

Well, I think it depends. Lord of The Rings is better in many ways, but LoTR have a big problem, it is too tiresome. Harry Potter is a kind of movie that you can watch many times, and you don't mind watching them. LoTR you can't do that, it's too large, too many boring scenes.

Before the last Harry Potter me and my friends made a Marathon, we watched the 7 movies. LoTR is hard to watch one movie, to watch two in a row is impossible.

I watched every HP movie many times, while I think I never watched any LoTR more than 3 times.

So I do prefer Harry Potter, not because it's better, but because most movies are fun to watch.
