Has anyone else ever gotten really emotional over a video game?
I know I was watching a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 remix and I was on the verge of tears.
      Just curious

The only game that made me fell emotional was The Walking Dead Season 1. In the ending of the last chapter, that is emotional Oo.

Mass Effect 3 did that for me. I had invested too much into ME2.

When your dog dies in a game, like Fable.

Mass Effect when you had to choose who to sacrifice.

The Final Fantasy X and Xenosaga 3 endings made me shed a few tears.

For some reason, when SE revealed KH3 during E3, my eyes got wet. I guess it was nostalgia.

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the part where you have to battle to save Malik when her chopper is gunned down - I failed to save her the first time, and felt really guilty because of it, not realizing at the time that you could indeed battle to save her if you had enough ammunition and health.

Just finished the prologue to The Last of Us - almost burst into tears. Graphics and acting are incredible in the game!

Hmm.. I'm not na emotional person, i think frustration is the most common (you want to beat that boss no matter what, or pass that level) sor the uplifting I guess "journey" probably is one of the games that will make you have the feels.

Final fantasy X and VII made me kind of sad. Powerful stories.

It's rare for me to get emotionally invested in games, but it has happened a couple of times. Planescape: Torment is one example. It wasn't so much the main story that affected me, but the stories involving the side characters, especially Dak'kon's and Ignus'. Bioshock is another example. The whole fate of the splicers and many of the game's audio logs were quite touching. The sequels didn't really manage to come close to that, in my opinion.

I think as I've gotten older I have been getting more gripped by gaming. The first big one that I at least remember was in Final Fantasy 7 when Aeris dies. The music they played during that scene I can still do now. Great scene.

There's a lot more emotional / story-driven games on the market these days.

Life is Strange is a pretty good one if you can get past all the teen talk.

The post contains a little spoiler for FFVI ok?

I got emotional in FFVI, after the world gets changed. The way Celes was left alone with that man, and she feeds him until he dies. The thought of her getting into a high mountain and throw herself off the edge, was really powerful.
