This has probably already been posted within the forums, but I can't find it.
I've spent ages searching.

I currently use Private Internet Access (PIA) and uTorrent.
Since I've started using PIA it seems impossible to seed anything through GT.
My upload ratio is crashing fast as I seem to be able to download, but not upload.
uTorent shows i'm connected to tracker.gaytorrent.tw and shows peers waiting for the file under the tracker tab, but my client almost never connects to anyone.
Or if it does connect, it uploads at a very slow rate.
Right now I have 102 torrents from this site that are available to seed, but zero are uploading.
I download files from other torrent sites and they seem to upload fine.
When selecting a torrent in my list, then clicking on the peer tab I can see peers jumping in and disappearing.
So it appears they are somehow dropping out.

Any suggestions?

Bahahahaha!!! That's HILARIOUS!! Are you aware that North York IS Toronto? :lolp:

Enabling port forwarding in the PIA client helps a great deal.
See my post in the thread ajax0980 linked to for directions. "Port forwarding works great. Don't forward any ports on your router if you use one with PIA or another VPN with port forwarding, only enter the port# from the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac) into your torrent client".

I can't find a list of the file sharing servers but the port forwarding list is likely the file sharing server list too, or close to it.

I tried a bucket load of different things.
Not sure what one fixed it, but it seems to be working now.
I think PIA was connecting to a bad location.
I normally just select connect and it randomly seems to choose a location.
Since manually selecting a location it seems much faster and more stable.

If you see peers connecting and then disconnecting, odds are they are deciding you're not fast enough for them. VPN's are certainly known to add latency to connections, so that may be perceived as an undesirable connection.

Another thing that I think may be the case, is evident when I look at the list of torrents you're seeding. All of them have a fairly high number of other seeders, so its harder for you to compete, especially if your apparent speed is impacted by the VPN.

Here's the number of seeders on your various torrents:
103 28 22 56 25 53 13 49 20 35 29 38 56 73 34 47 15 63 37 8 17 19 19

At least one of them appears to have 12 leechers, but they're actually people not downloading the who set of files and so are really a form of seeder (of the incomplete set of files.)

I think, you should try picking a brand newly uploaded file (freeleech if you can get one with low seeders) but otherwise something fresh to the site, and perform an experiment on it to see if it works as you'd expect. Your goal is to be one of the first seeders on the file, so you can seed it out to leechers than join after you. (Note that certain things seem to be more popular on the site, such as bareback twinks.)
