But here I have the code copied in a multiple clipboard (not the Windows one) so that I can paste that and insert text and URL

Ab, maybe this will help…

The image button just puts the image BB codes, you need to put an image location URL between them - that's the top line, image url is just the location of gt.ru default smiley policeman

The first URL link is just a straight paste of a normal URL

The second is a paste of the URL between the URL codes made by pressing the Insert Hyperlink' button - there is no difference that I can see!

The third link (and my preference) has the link 'behind' the text. This is done by adding

{url = andyourcopiedhyperlink}Your Text{/url} - obviously you need to change the curly brackets to square ones. The text can be formatted as normal.

It does help!  And I found the Forum Help pages last night and learned a couple of things there. I can now see how to make my links look better in forum posting, it's just takes a bit of work thats all.  In other forums that I participate in the editor is a lot 'friendlier' and the link button pretty much does all the work = you highlight the text, press the link button, and then past the link in the small window that opens up. I'm sure you have seen those types of editors.  But I'll be experimenting with this one, and I'll learn a little more every time  ;D

Well, hope that works.  It's the only way I've figured out how to do it.  I also haven't figure out the {image}{/image} button or how to use the {url][/url} function. Any advise for me on those two. I'll get to the others later. Or is there a reference page to using this editor?  Just thought I'd ask.
