So now, pretty much every part of our server has been replaced and it seems stable again but we'll keep a close on eye on things. We have also had to roll back to a backup of the site that was a day old so it's possible some posts and new members might have disappeared. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks once again to the friendly GTR crew for allowing us to post these updates

@Kekkaishi There's your problem. Your torrent client is reporting that you are using port 64789, so either you have to change the port number in your torrent client or in your router and make sure that your computer has a static IP address on your home network. This can either be done in the router itself in the DHCP settings by binding the MAC address to an IP address, or can be done on your computer locally. If you take the latter option, you need to make sure that the static IP address you assign your computer is OUTSIDE the DHCP range. I cannot stress that enough.

qbittorrent problem

@carabuddy torrents will only count as completed if you select all files and download 100% of the torrent. If you leave anything unselected, after you finish downloading the torrent client will show it as seeding but it will still be occupying a download slot on GT server. All your downloaded/uploaded amounts will still count as usual, there's nothing to worry about. But if you do it too many times eventually you'll run out of download slots. Just to be clear, not a qbittorrent problem, and not even a problem at all, that's just how private trackers work.

qBittorrent torrent creator question

To close the loop on this, switching from "Hybrid" to "V1" solved both problems. The padding files are no longer in the file list and a user who was not able to use a previous torrent file was able to use a new file I created with the modified setting.

Anyone having trouble getting on gay-torrents.net?

If you are using "Transmission Web Interface" it is possible that a host server is blocking you ... Regardless of torrent client it will work properly if it is configured correctly ... I tried Transmission 300 and everything works fine ... Cannot Upload Seeding Torrents Anymore

@kekkaishi Most likely your ISP is blocking the ports you use to connect. In your torrent client, open up your preferences and change the port you're using. If you have an OLD router, or have otherwise manually opened ports or configured port-forwarding, you will need to change those settings too.

@cash0uttt I would not say they compete with each other. I have yet to have a lag with Qbittorrent, however Utorrent has a LOT of lag, and when Utorrent lags, it makes the entire computer lag because it's gorging itself on all your memory and CPU resources.

Qbittorrent is now better than Utorrent
