@studcupid said: "gaytor.rent has a daily download limit, which is bound to your share ratio and amount of uploaded own torrents: You downloaded 116 torrent(s) in the past 24 hours You are allowed to download 115 torrent file(s) per day. This is based on your share ratio of 0.876 and 7 uploaded own torrent(s). Add up to 50 extra parallel downloads per day with a DonationIndicates user has donated to the Site" Any chance you have a download manager or something in your browser that might be going haywire? The text you quoted has the site claiming you clicked "Download" on 116 .torrent files in the past 24 hours. It's of course also possible that the site has something going haywire, but as a random other user on the site all I can say is that I don't see it myself. https://www.gaytor.rent/helpdesk.php might help if no mods come along with a better solution. I forget exactly what it was, but years ago when doing tech support (at work, not here) I ran into someone with some sort of download manager plugin that was basically clicking random links on the page as she browsed our site. It was clicking links like "Leave Group" or "Unfriend this user" behind the scenes and not showing her. We never did figure out why it was doing that, but it was. That sort of matches what you're seeing here: the site thinks you've downloaded 116 files, when you report only a handful of torrent files in your download folder. It is of course possible that it's a problem with the site itself, but I wouldn't know anything about that. It shouldn't be counting files within a torrent, and isn't for me, but computers, man.

Staff reply here, sorry it took a couple of days. I have measured this from our side, so here is what we can actually see rather than guess. The tracker is up and has been throughout. It answers from here in a few hundredths of a second, the site is fine, and nothing was taken down or put into maintenance. The more useful part: several people posting in this thread are announcing to our tracker right now, this minute, while I am writing this. So there is no outage. And for the accounts reporting the problem, our tracker has never seen a single announce arrive. Not a rejected one, not a failed one. Nothing reaches us at all. That combination has only one shape. Your client's announce is being stopped somewhere on the path before it gets to us. It is also why the site still loads in your browser while your client cannot reach the tracker, and why a VPN or mobile data fixes it the second you switch, exactly as some of you found. Web traffic and the announce take different routes, and only one of them is being interrupted. What we cannot see from here is whether that is deliberate filtering or something broken at your provider, and I would rather not put words in anyone's mouth. One of you mentioned other services failing at the same time, which reads more like a fault than like targeting. Either way it is not something we can fix from this end, and there is nothing wrong with your accounts. What actually helps: a VPN, and it has to cover the torrent client, not only the browser. Mobile data works too. If it turns out to be a fault rather than a filter, it should clear by itself. Thanks to the people who did the legwork in here, especially testing a second client and mobile data. That is what let us tell the difference from our side.

More news: USA "Medicaid" program is to stop paying for sex-rejecting procedures, on minors. https://abcnews.com/Politics/wireStory/medicaid-stop-paying-gender-affirming-care-transgender-minors-135559574 Minors (kids) still get mental health care. & no change, to whatever they pay for adults. USA media is coded like @sunderphon I guess: to deny or minimize kids being transed. Yet even ABC had to concede: At least 27 states have already banned gender-affirming care [ed: sex-rejecting abuse] for those under 18. Even in states that haven’t, many major hospitals have stopped providing some of the treatments [ed: injuries]. Means: "many major hospitals" were doing it. The policy calls for Medicaid and CHIP to continue to pay for mental health treatment for transgender minors but phase out coverage of hormone treatments [and puberty blockers] Puberty blockers are permanent / not reversible. They give lifelong damage: sterility, tinydick, osteoporosis, stunted growth / dwarfism. More news, "Wolves In White Coats" report from USA government. https://x.com/againstgrmrs/status/2089437778559873081 Here are the stories of the detransitioners featured in the report: SOREN ALDACO: Identified as trans at 11. Testosterone at 17, double mastectomy at 19. Botched surgery left her with severe complications. Doctors abandoned her when she detransitioned. LUKE HEALY: Exposed to online transgender communities at age 10, identified as a girl by 13. Parents blocked medical transition as a minor. Started estrogen, then realized doctors were selling procedures “like a car salesman.” CLEMENTINE BREEN: Doctors told her parents she was “100% trans” at 12. Blockers and testosterone at 13, double mastectomy at 14. Mental health collapsed. Her doctors ghosted her as soon as she started to detransition. LAYLA JANE: Put on Lupron and testosterone at 12, double mastectomy at 13. Permanent nerve pain and night terrors. Her lawsuit was thrown out based on the statute of limitations. SYDNEY AVILES: Identified as trans at 14 after online exposure. Hormones and double mastectomy by 18. Developed hypothyroidism and sky-high cholesterol. Detransitioned and still fighting to get her birth certificate changed back to female. ROSE MARIE: Homeless foster teen. Affirmed at LGBTQ center, got testosterone via 15 minute app appointment. Injected for 4 years. Detransitioned in 2025 with permanent voice change, fatigue, and irregular cycles. Now homeless again. [image: 1787780165513-398d418b-2e99-4309-bf53-fa103a7fcea4-image.jpeg]

I would love to find a copy of the 2024 short "Más allá de la carne" (aka "Beyond the Flesh") from Mexican director Juan Briseño -- or the full-length film "Corazón de Plata" (2023) from which the short is taken. The short was shown on MUBI but doesn't seem to be available anywhere... Thanks anyone!
